Loved the beginners instructor I had today! I accidentally forgot her name, but I have a picture with her here. She was super patient with the 4 beginners! I definitely wish to go back to learn more, even if it’s just the classes.

I snowboard and took three lessons at Wachusett Mountain, and the experience has been fantastic. My Instructor Nuala is knowledgeable, patient, and she helped me build confidence on the board. I’ve made solid progress and will definitely be coming back for an intermediate lesson. Beyond the lessons, the staff overall are extremely friendly and welcoming, which makes a big difference—especially when you’re learning something new. The mountain has a great vibe and feels very supportive for riders at all levels. Highly recommend for anyone looking to learn or improve their snowboarding skills.

First time skiing and it was great! The lesson was good and gave us the basics. The instructor was super nice, but it was very crowded which made it harder to focus as people were going down the area. The lines were super long, and not worth doing so we ended up stepping up the hill and doing it that way instead as beginners.

Loved coming to visit last month. Was a great experience learning to ski even though I wasn't really good. Shout outs to all ski teachers. I appreciate your patience with my beginner skills. Till next time.

Been here 4 times now (2 times alone) and this is my ski birthplace. All the instructors are superb - patient, friendly, detail oriented. Shoutout to Sasha, Joe, and Jamie. Other staff members are also amazing. The owner Carolyn came up and said hi to me. This place is perfect for beginners because the terrain progression is nice. You’ve got two different carpet runs, two different green runs, and then so many different leveled blues. Ralph’s Run is such a fun step up from green because it’s longer and begins with flat terrain that turns into a steep but wide drop at the end. It gets icy tho! Rental process is a breeze. Buying the beginner package then the discounted flex pass with free rentals are very good deals. The only downside is how crowded it gets after school and on weekends/holidays, but it shows how much people love this place. As for parking, I would love if they directed cars into lot 1 if spots open up haha.

1.5 hours away from Boston it was a great escape! Tiny trails but lots of fun with the family! Rental staff are a little messy in organization and complain a lot because people renting do not take their own things. I think you wouldn’t have a job if some people needed to rent. Anyways, ski trails are decent and fun! A little icy Be aware some trails will close and if you’re not used to going on black trails make sure you ask around. Though Black trails here are like Green Trails in many places I’ve visited. I guess I’m used to the big resorts like Vail, Whistler, Banff, Park City, and the list goes on!

Great place to go snowboarding and it’s only about an hour from the Boston area. The runs are fun and it’s a good spot whether you’re learning or already have some experience. Perfect for a quick winter trip without having to drive too far. I’ve always had a great time coming here during the season.

I learned to ski at Wachusett Mountain quite a few years ago. I was able to take our three older kids this afternoon for the 3pm learn to ski package with rentals. Their instructor Lou did an amazing job. He taught them the basics for 90 minutes while I hit trails. By the time I got them back they learned so much. I was able to take them on the beginner lift for their first longer runs by the end of our session. I had been putting off teaching the kids how to ski and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. Wachusett is a great value. It’s also well-run and convenient. Update: went back for our second lesson and had a very different experience. It was a Sunday afternoon and there were way too many people there. The lift lines were long and the overall value wasn’t quite as good because there just weren’t as many runs due to the lines. Also the cell and WiFi networks were tapped out so it was hard to communicate wit my our group which didn’t help. The follow on lessons were a great value for our kids. I declined skiing because it was going to cost me $150 for a lift ticket with rentals for 4 hours which was probably no more than 10 runs on a small mountain. Just beware that it’s advisable to avoid the mountain when it’s busy. Also, there should be a parent option when you have kids in lessons so you can ski at the same time. Lesson times and session times do not align. Also sessions do sell out so you can be left with only the $99 - 4 hour option instead of the cheaper session slots. Wachusett is a great place to learn but unless you upgrade to a seasons pass it’s a hard place to ski regularly. Also, the ski lesson groups were large this time and the instructor was not as good. I don’t often downgrade reviews but I am in this case so it’s accurate.
